Dr. Danny Auld is co-founder of Kekoa Foods, where he spearheads key business operations with an unwavering commitment to excellence and community impact. In his role as President, Danny directs all sales and financial strategies, leading Kekoa Foods' fundraising initiatives, which encompass investor relations, grant acquisition, and debt financing. Additionally, he manages the intricate logistics of production, overseeing certification processes, technical compliance, and 3PL/warehousing and logistics partnerships.
Danny plays a pivotal role in shaping Kekoa Foods' public presence. He crafts impactful advertising content across digital and social media platforms and leads influencer partnerships to amplify the company’s mission. His dedication to community extends nationwide as he forges partnerships to provide food donations and promote lifelong nutritional education.
Before founding Kekoa Foods, Danny earned a PhD from Fordham University, where he developed his expertise through rigorous academic research and the management of large-scale initiatives across two major universities. His work focused on driving institutional improvement for students, faculty, and the broader campus community, enhancing both educational and organizational outcomes.
Danny's passion for food transcends its nutritional value; he sees it as a catalyst for connection and cherished memories, central to holidays, family gatherings, and life’s special moments. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys cooking, exploring new recipes and restaurants, and spending time with his husband and co-founder, David, and their 11-year-old son, their Kekoa. Together, they relish outdoor activities, from winter sledding to summer beach outings. Danny also dedicates personal time to mentoring college students and graduates and actively participates in community organizations focused on fighting food insecurity and youth career development.
